ABSTRACT

      This study investigates the effectiveness of adult education programs in enhancing political participation within the Benin metropolis. Four research questions where raise to guide the study.

     The study focused specifically on 100 adult learners purposively selected from Benin metropolis., the research focuses on how adult education initiatives can empower citizens to engage more actively in politics. Through a mixed-methods approach, comprising surveys, interviews, and observational data, the study examines the extent to which these programs influence political awareness, knowledge, and involvement among adults.

The findings reveal that well-structured adult education programs significantly enhance participants' political engagement, fostering a more informed and active citizenry. This research underscores the importance of adult education as a tool for strengthening democratic participation and highlights specific strategies that can be adopted to optimize these programs in similar urban settings.
