ABSTRACT
This research study examined the extent to which entrepreneurship education is being carried out in Ovia North East Local Government Area Edo State. Four (4) research questions were raised to guide the study. The study adopts a descriptive survey research. The population comprises of two hundred and thirty-two (232) teachers taken from twenty-nine (29) public secondary schools in Ovia North East Local Government Area in Edo State. A sample of hundred (100) teachers was randomly selected from ten (10) public senior secondary school. The data were analyzed using simple percentage, mean and standard deviation. The result showed that entrepreneurship education is carried out dutifully in Ovia North East Local Government Area Edo State. The skills being taught to the students are relevant to the society. And also, teacher's qualification, adequate equipment and facilities greatly influenced entrepreneurship education in public secondary schools in Ovia North East Local Government Area Edo State. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended that more qualified teachers and adequate equipment should be provided in order to effectively implement entrepreneurship education. And also, the school and teachers should diligently manage and supervise student's practical work.
