ABSTRACT
It is of no doubt that Reincarnation has been a belief amongst various cultures in Africa, this belief was unquestionable in the ancient times. It has always been a criterion that personality and physical resemblance are the core principles of reincarnation, that is, when a child resembles a dead grand-parent, it implies that the dead grand-parent is the child incarnate and there is another belief whereby the kind of life man lived during his existence on earth would determine how his next life would be, such person may come back as a beggar or a lesser animal. Our interest here is to also evaluate Anthony Echekwube's view on Reincarnation which he replaced for Regeneration. The problem we encountered in this work is that of relativism and subjectivity of the various cultural beliefs. Indeed, no one can really disprove or approve of reincarnation, hence the problem is a perennial one. We employed Analytical Evaluation Method in defending our argument.
