ABSTRACT
Chinua Achebe being a writer with diverse experiences about tradition, culture and politics of Nigeria and Africa at large exposes some ills associated with Blacks and how this attitude only affects the blacks more. His novel Girls At War which comprise of fifteen short stories give insights about the things to experience in Africa. This essay will dwell on purpose of study, scope of study, a methodology, a theoretical background to backup claims as regards obsession and there will be reviews of related literatures from scholars and its going to end with a thesis statement for further directions. The short stories under review, gives more emphasis on obsession over religion and culture.
