ABSTRACT

This study focuses on investigating the perception of social workers to organizational settings, a case study of Guinness Nig Plc of Edo State. The study was guided by four research objectives: To find out where loss of motivation to work by employees comes from; To find out whether lack of motivation leads to poor employees productivity; To examine the kinds of motivation necessary to employees by social workers and Nigeria firms; and To find out the perception of the roles of social workers. The study uses the survey design and the population of the study was the 120 respondent/employees working at Guinness Nig Plc. However, the study selected 6 sections out of them as sample through the simple random sampling technique. Primary data was collected through the use of questionnaire, presented and analyzed by means of simple percentage. It was recommended that; Social workers be taken seriously and employed in organizational settings. Social workers play an important role to organizational settings. Also, social workers should be included in the organizational structure or occupational firms.
