Abstract
This study investigated theyoung adult’s dietary pattern and its predisposing factor to the development of diabetes. This research work in other to have a wide view, the researcher consulted several literatures that where relevant to this topic. The descriptive survey research design was used for this study. The population for this study comprises of all undergraduate Students in University of Benin (UNIBEN), Benin City, Edo State. The sample size for this study was 200 undergraduate students selected from different faculties within the University of Benin that were selected through multistage sampling techniques. The research instrument was a self-structured questionnaire. For validity, the research instrument was subjected to scrutiny by the project supervisor and two others to ensure that the items adequately measured the intent of the study. The findings reported that majority of the young adult have proper meal only twice in a day. This work further revealed factor that predispose young adult to diabetes.
