ABSTRACT

The study assessed the level of discipline among undergraduate students at the university of Benin.In order to achieve the purpose of the study, four (4) research questions were raised and answered.A survey research designed was employed for the study.The sample size consisted of hundred (100) respondents randomly selected from various levels of study. The data collected from the respondents were analyzed with mean statistics.

The findings from the study revealed the various level of discipline among undergraduate students at the university of Benin such as dressing modestly and appropriately, strong commitment to taking responsibility to their academic performance,reimbursement made as a result of reckless and irresponsible behavior that results in damage of property, expelling students as a result of malpractice.The research was concluded with the highest mean score which is dressing modestly and appropriately to show respect for oneself,others and the university.

The study recommended the university to establish and enfore dress code policies that promote  respectful dressing,encourage faculty and staff model modest and  respectful dressing to inspire students to do the same.
