ABSTRACT
This study is carried out to ascertain the effect of terrorism on the foreign policy drive of the United States. The study aims at properly explaining the evolution of the United States foreign policy over the past two decades and to also understand the various change to the nature of interactions between the US and the world, it goes on to identify areas where the United States have been very particular in the fight against terror and the alliances brought forward to this end. The quantitative research design was adopted and a structured interview coupled with a questionnaire was the instrument used for data collation. In total fifty seven (57) respondents took part in the study and (2) interviewees were sampled for this study. The data obtained were analyzed using content analysis and the demography presented in tables and charts. Findings of the study revealed that indeed there has been a change in the nature of the United States foreign policy and most recently in her interactions with the international system. The findings also posited that the United State has championed the global fight against terrorism. The study recommends a more global policy to be adapted in the fight against terrorism.
