ABSTRACT

Situation Ethics is an ethical theory propounded by Joseph Fletcher in which he also referred to it as the new morality. And the ethics simply states that every action is justified in relation to its circumstance or context from this, it simply implies that it is circumstance that determines what is to be done and how it is to be done. From this vein, Fletcher opines that contextual act must be embedded in love of thy neighbor rather than self -sake, irrespective of whom they are whether we know them or not, whether we like them or not is immaterial. In pursuance of the success of this project, I shall shed more light in its relevant areas to making the project comprehensive in view of that fact in which situation ethics rejects intrinsicality of a thing being evil in it self.As the projects proceeds, I shall talk more on love and contemporary issues this theory applies to. Conclusively, I shall also be talking on the merits and demerits of Situation Ethics.
