ABSTRACT
This study investigated the level of macro and micro professional development programmes in public secondary schools in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State. To guide the study three research questions were raised and answered directly. The descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. The population of the study consisted of seven hundred and seventy (770) teachers from the 30 public secondary schools in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo state. a sample of seventy five (75) teachers from 3 public secondary schools was randomly selected for the study. The research instrument used to gather data for the study was a Questionnaire titled “Macro and Micro Professional Development Programmes Questionnaire for Public School Teachers” (MMPDPQ). Data collected were analyzed using the frequency count and simple percentage.
