ABSTRACT
Layer double hydroxides (LDH) also known as a group of ionic solids or anionic clay has shown great promise as anion exchanger for the removal of dye from waste water.
This research project studies layered double hydroxide, in this study the layered double hydroxide of magnesium iv aluminum chloride s(Mg4AlCl) was synthesized to be used as a potential adsorbent to remove methyl orange dye from water. Mg4AlCl was synthesized by using precipitation method and characterized by Fourier-Transform Spectroscopy (FTIR). Adsorption studies were concluded at different contact times, weight and concentration.
