ABSTRACT
This research work looked into the administrative Succession and it's implications for Organization’s goal attainment. A case study of Enugu State Housing Development Corporation. Four research question were raised to assess the extent administerial succession affects the continuity and existence of an organization, find out the relationship between administerial succession Enugu State Housing Development Corporation goals attainment, investigate the relationship between administerial succession and employee turnover and determine the extent administerial succession affect market share of Enugu State Housing Development Corporation. The researcher sourced materials through primary and secondary sources. The primary data included textbooks, journal, internet articles etc. The population of the study comprises of the staff of Enugu State Housing Development Corporation. Data collected were analyzed using simple table and percentage analysis. Based on the findings of the study, the study concludes that administerial succession affects the continuity and existence of an organization, there are relationship between administerial succession and Enugu State Housing Development Corporation goals attainment, there are relationship between administerial succession and employee turnover and that administerial succession affects market share of Enugu State Housing Development Corporation. Based on the findings of the study, it was recommended among others that organization should make the hay while the sun shines by planning very well and ahead of administerial succession, that Enugu State Housing Development Corporation should ensure that administrative succession planning be incorporated into the policies, procedures and strategies of the corporation to enhance corporate survival and organizational structure, culture and other moderating variables should be structured to ease administrative succession planning to enhance corporate survival of the firm to mention but a few.
