ABSTRACT
This study examines the acting techniques and the history of acting. It discusses various acting techniques used by some selected actors in the stage play Drums of War by Ojo Bakare. It examines the Stanislavski technique, which is based on the idea that an actor should draw feelings to create a believable character. This project which focused on acting techniques and role interpretation of an actor, is a qualitative study that make use of the interview methodology and the participatory approach, to find out the techniques of the actors under study. The research conclude that, the actors must go through proper research, to know the techniques that best fit their character and also to entirely understand what is expected from an actor. Among other things, the researcher recommends that Actors should go on research so they would know the best techniques that best fix their role, because actors mirrors the society.
