ABSTRACT
The Nigerian higher education landscape is witnessing a transformati..ve shift towards digitalization, driven by the demand for more efficient administrative processes, enhanced academic experiences, and improved program management. This project presents the design and implementation of a web-based application tailored to the specific needs of PhD program management in university of Benin. The proposed system offers a comprehensive solution that addresses key aspects of program administration, including student registration, fee management, supervisor assignments, research topic management, presentation tracking, and grading. It aims to streamline these processes, promote transparency, and facilitate effective communication among students, faculty, and administrators. The system leverages modern web technologies, user-friendly interfaces, and robust security measures to ensure accessibility, ease of use, and data protection. Additionally, it provides real-time analytics and reporting tools, empowering academic institutions with data-driven decision-making capabilities for program enhancement. It discusses the motivation, problem definition, goals, objectives, research methodology, and significance of the study.
