ABSTRACT
This study was conducted to assess the utilization of skills acquisition for adult learners in Ikpoba Okha LGA. The purpose of the study is to find out how adult learners utilize skills acquisition, and to find out the perception of the adult learners to acquiring skills,to find out the extent at which adult learners are exposed to skills acquisition.
Four research questions were raised. This study made use of the descriptive survey research design. The population of the study consisted One hundred (100) adult learners which is also the sample respondents for the study. The instrument for data collection for this study was a self-constructed close-ended questionnaire titled “The relevance of skill acquisition to adult learners” in Ikpoba Okha LGA, the researcher’s supervisors were part of the validation team.
The split-half reliability method was used to determine the reliability of the instrument and the process yielded an index of 0.81 Data obtained from the study were analysed using mean and standard deviation.
