Abstract
Science education is crucial to a nation's development. Effective chemistry learning requires access to laboratory chemicals and equipment. This study project, "A Survey of the Degree of Availability of Reagents and Equipment for the Teaching of Chemical Concepts in Senior Secondary Schools in Nigeria," evaluates Nigeria's senior secondary schools' chemistry resources. Nigeria, a developing nation, struggles with laboratory resources and other academic issues. The research will combine quantitative and qualitative methods like surveys, interviews, and observational assessments. A representative sample of senior secondary schools from Egor Local Government Area of Edo State, Nigeria, will be selected to ensure data diversity. Statisticians and content analysts will assess data. It will highlight resource constraints on educators and students and provide policy solutions. Our food, clothing, shelter, health, energy, and environment depend on chemistry. Reagents and equipment are crucial. These include chemical reactions, analytical methods, medical diagnosis, and lab sample preservation. Similarly, lab equipment is essential for experimentation and research. These principles can be taught in schools, universities, vocational institutes, internet platforms, workshops, and research institutions.
