ABSTRACT

Fuzzy Set Theory offers a powerful approach to data analysis and decision making, addressing the inadequacies of traditional methods in handling uncertainty. Whereas crisp sets operate on binary logic with either true or false values, fuzzy sets introduce a new dimension to data management by incorporating partial truths into the mix. This allows for a more comprehensive representation of complex systems and a more accurate portrayal of real-world phenomena where uncertainties are prevalent. The implementation of fuzzy sets in data analysis and decision making can lead to more robust, adaptable, and efficient models, as it enables the handling of imprecise and ambiguous data that would otherwise prove challenging to manage with traditional methods. In this project, various operations of fuzzy sets are explored, including intersection, union, complement, and applications of fuzzy numbers and intervals with a focus on their applications in real-world scenarios. By embracing uncertainty and modeling it in a more practical and flexible way, fuzzy sets provide valuable tools for enhancing the accuracy and effectiveness of complex decision-making processes in diverse domains.
