ABSTRACT

Stylistics play important role in literature; it involves different styles and techniques and choice of language to be able to create and recreate unique and engaging experiences. Stylistics adds depth, variety and creativity to a literary text, making it more dynamic and memorable. Also, through stylistic devices like parallelism, repetition and some linguistic deviations, stylistic further advance the theme of the drama text as seen in the text Omosalewa, where the playwright experiment with language, to reveal some traditional norms and create a distinctive literary or helping voice against a chauvinistic way of life. However, employing stylistic devices in the text, makes the writer evoke specific emotions, convey complex ideas, and also captivate the readers in unexpected ways.
