ABSTRACT
In the preceding chapters, from the analysis of grammatical deviations done on Burna Boy's Eight songs from his musical album, Giant of Africa; we see that he uses three different languages in his songs which are: English Language, Pidgin and Yoruba language. There is code-mixing and code-switching of these three languages in his songs. Consequently, the use of these code-mixing and code-switching is not without significance. As there is artistic significance which helps in entertaining his audience. Also, we have social significance of the grammatical deviations, with the use of the three languages Burna Boy reveals the class of his audience as there are those educated, those average and low or without education. With the use of Yoruba language in all of his selected songs, this shows the relevance that Burna Boy attaches to his Yoruba root by using the language.
