ABSTRACT
This study examines the level of Physics Education literacy among Senior Secondary School students in Ovia North – East Local Government of Edo State. The sample for the study was made up of two hundred and thirty two (232) senior secondary school students and four (3) Physics teachers were selected from three (2) schools located in Ovia North - East using random sampling technique. The schools are Uniben Demonstration Senior Secondary School and Bethany Christian Academy Secondary School
Three research questions guided the study and the data gathered was analyzed using Pearson Correlation analysis technique. The study revealed that teachers' qualification and experience has a significant effect on the level of Physics literacy among Senior Secondary School Students.
Based on the findings of this study, the researcher recommended that only qualified and experienced teachers should be allowed to teach Physics. Also, the government, through the ministry of education should constantly train and retrain Physics teachers in order to remain updated on the use of instructional materials for Physics lessons.
