ABSTRACT

In, December 2004 a drift run in Mena 391 indicated mud/sand restriction at 4680 ft. laboratory analysis of the sample collected in hole confirmed the restriction to be mud/sand. This project work has reviewed the well-bore cleanup to improve the flow capacity of the well. The job producers for each of those treatment jobs are reviewed alongside the treatment results. An after-treatment pressure buildup test done on the interval is also considered. The treatment jobs on the sand interval yielded good results. The mud sand restriction in the tubing was dislodged, leading to a rise from 0 production level as observed in 2002 to a net oil production of 2199.54bbi/d in 2007. The work brought about a sharp reduction in sand production from 88pptb in June 2002 to 1.2pptb in 2002. The payout period was 27 days.
