ABSTRACT
This study is a review of Survival analysis which is used in various fields like Medicine, Engineering, Business and finance, Economics and many others.
Two specific parametric distributions were the exponential and the weibull distributions explored in this study and their properties were studied which includes probability density function, cumulative density function, survival function, hazard function, mean, variance, moments and moment generating function. Real dataset was applied and modelled by the two functions using R software and the results showed that the weilbull distribution had a better fit of the dataset.
