ABSTRACT
The comprehensive study of UNICEF activities in Edo State spanning the period from 2001 to 2019 underscores the organization's profound impact and unwavering commitment to advancing child welfare in the region. Throughout these years, UNICEF's initiatives have left an indelible mark on various domains crucial to children's well-being, encompassing health, education, protection, and overall holistic development. In the realm of child health, UNICEF's interventions have yielded remarkable achievements, ranging from immunization campaigns aimed at eradicating preventable diseases to the establishment of maternal and child health services facilitating reductions in maternal and child mortality rates. Furthermore, UNICEF's efforts in promoting nutrition interventions and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) programs have played pivotal roles in enhancing children's health outcomes and fostering a conducive environment for their growth and development.
