ABSTRACT
Quality management is important to the performance of any firm or organization. There are several quality management practices that are used in the operations if various firms to facilitate cost reduction, improvement in quality of products, customer satisfaction and revised errors and defects. Statistical quality control practices are one of the several quality management practices. The principal aim of this project work is to apply SPC as a QC tool to a Geovitafoods Nig. Ltd in order to monitor the volume dispersion in the production process, thereby reducing the stress of final inspection of products produced and eliminating defective products. The study focuses on whether or not defective products can be eliminated from the production process. This study involves the use of descriptive research design since it focuses on the effects of statistical quality control practices on operational performance. The data issued would be carefully analyzed using both descriptive and regression analysis. The regression model used will include two variables. Statistical Process Control and Acceptance Sampling were the department while operational performance was the independent variable.
