ABSTRACT

Our basic objective of designing and implementing an online student record system is for the development of data base computer program that will enable the Lecturer to accurately and efficiently process and co-ordinate the various students’ academic records in the institution given the engineering program M.ENGwithout much difficulties with little time. In view of this, lecturer’s face difficulties using the analogue method (paper and biro) in any higher institution. This made us to realize that computer assisted record system is the best in processing students record in UNIVERSITY OF BENIN.  This will save our school the embarrassment caused by student’s complaints at the end of working session and put to an end to analogue mode of student recording.

This project describes how much a student’s record system is developed and how in particular it can be effectively used for the day to day running of the student records.

For the purpose of this project, we shall use database software called MYSQL.  This is because MYSQL handles a large volume of data.  It is database management package, which is good for students record keeping activities.
