ABSTRACT
This research project delves into the intricate realm of psycholinguistics to explore the communication performance of individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Autism is a neurodevelopmental condition known for its profound impact on language and communication abilities. Through a comprehensive analysis of language processing, pragmatics, and socio-communicative behaviors, this study aims to shed light on the nuanced aspects of communication in autistic patients.
The research methodology involves a diverse group of autistic individuals, ranging across the spectrum, and employs a combination of linguistic and cognitive assessments, eye-tracking technology, and qualitative observations. By examining how autistic patients process language, interpret social cues, and convey their thoughts and emotions, this study seeks to uncover patterns and variations in their communication performance.
Furthermore, this project explores the potential role of early interventions and therapeutic strategies in enhancing communication skills in autistic individuals. It investigates how tailored interventions can help bridge communication gaps and improve the overall quality of life for individuals with ASD.
