ABSTRACT

This study attempts to analyze natural language computer aided translation, It describes the role of an intermediate language in computer aided translation. A Natural Language refers to human language. The project work helps in distinguishing the machine translation from the computer aided translation and how computer aided translation can be improved into machine translation. The target audience is those who want to learn Urhobo language and English, it helps people who are not born in Urhobo land, to learn the language. The process is very easy, as when you type the word you are looking for to translate, it gives you the alternate in the target language. The product of this research work is a web based language translator which is a computer aided translator that consists of a text database that resides on a server. The database is structured in such a way that it stores a word and it related meaning which will be queried as the word is entered on the application interface. The scope of this research work is limited to two natural languages which are English language and Urhobo Language. The application interface consist of input fields where a word will be entered and then, the user will determined if the word is in English or Urhobo. The test run for this code is as seen in Appendix A.
