ABSTRACT
In this work, we shall be looking at the language used on tricycle. The data collection for this study was sourced from tricycle with inscription. Tricycle inscriptions will be studied and semantically to examine the use of linguistic sources, this study intends to portray an indepth appreciation of language use as a creative means of expressing individual/societal plight, beliefs e.t.c. The theoretical framework employed for this study was speech act theory. With this approach, the researcher was able to find out the concept of linguistic analysis, we found out that the inscription have the capacity to provide objective evidence about the character of an individual. It was also observed that tricycle inscriptions are identified groups such as social classification, life philosophy e.t.c.
