ABSTRACT

A key component of metaphysics is the query of Being. For decades, a number of academics have tried to provide an answer. The work extensively examines Heidegger's conception of being (Dasein). The ontological perspective of being is upheld in this work. Heidegger's goal is not to study the problem of man, but rather the problem of Being. This is as a result of his greater interest in Being than in Man, and for a very long time before to him, metaphysicians ignored the answer to the Being problem. In essence, this is Heidegger's duty since he thinks it's important to address this age-old issue that metaphysicians have mostly ignored. In order to repair what he refers to as the "Ontological fallacy of western philosophy," he thus ventured into the realm of metaphysics. The analysis also found that Heidegger is only interested in the Being of Beings and not just any kind of being. This endeavor will take Heidegger on a journey through the "beingness of being." What is existence? There is no denying Heidegger's significant contribution to the exploration of metaphysics. It is quite insightful to read his in-depth research of Dasein.

This study will serve as additional study material for Heidegger's teachings on Metaphysics, specifically his teaching on Being. It is not all there is to know about Heidegger or his works; rather, it is only one aspect of his area of interest (Dasein).
