ABSTRACT
The aim of this study is to develop a comprehensive and proactive approach to e-commerce, taking today’s trends and concerns and the objectives were to identify the latest trends in e - commerce, identify the latest concerns and challenges in e-commerce, analyses the impact of these trends and concerns on e-commerce, recommendations on how e-commerce businesses can mitigate these challenges, implement and test the proposed approach in a real world e-commerce system and also create a fully functional e-commerce platform using the information deduced. The methodology used for this research is a combination of a mixed research approach for comprehensive data collection and analysis with design science research (DSR) principles for systematic solution development and evaluation. The mixed research methodology, facilitates the collection and analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data will identify trends, while qualitative data will provide in-depth insights. While, the DSR principles are chosen to guide the systematic development and evaluation of the e-commerce platform. DSR ensures the solution aligns with real-world needs and challenges. In regards, to the results of this project, we noticed significantly, that the longer users or visitors of an e-commerce webpage or website, there is a higher possibility of a purchase to occur by the user from that particular website. So, we decided, to harness that knowledge and on that note, we added specific features like pop-up games and puzzles, an interactive UI and user experience, effective feedback system and swift and secured payment gateways.
