A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF STUDENT PERFORMANCE IN A TRADITIONAL Vs. E-LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

ABSTRACT

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has significantly transformed educational practices, leading to the coexistence of traditional learning methods and e-learning platforms. This thesis presents a comparative analysis of student performance in a traditional versus e-learning environment, focusing on their effectiveness in promoting student learning outcomes, engagement, and overall educational quality. Through a comprehensive survey of students' experiences and perceptions, key findings reveal diverse attitudes towards both instructional modalities. While many students appreciate the convenience and flexibility of e-learning, challenges such as technical issues, distractions, and reduced interaction with instructors are prevalent. Conversely, traditional learning methods are valued for their structured environment and face-to-face interactions. The study highlights the need for strategies to enhance the engagement and effectiveness of online learning, emphasizing the importance of addressing students' concerns and preferences. By providing empirical evidence, this research aims to inform evidence-based decision-making in educational policy and practice, ultimately contributing to the optimization of learning experiences across both traditional and digital platforms.
