ABSTRACT

This project conducts a comparative analysis of three recommendation algorithms (collaborative filtering, content-based filtering, and hybrid recommendation algorithms) and evaluates their application to the development of a web-based smart education system for the Department of Computer Science, University of Benin using key performance metrics like precision, recall, and accuracy. It discusses the traditional education system and its flaws and also covers the concept of smart education, its benefits to educational institutions, and how it addresses the problems of the traditional education system.
