ABSTRACT
This project titled was aimed at investigating the biblical concept of polygamy. The motivation behind this was based on the various challenges faced by Christians in polygamous marriages. Why most Christians argue that polygamy is not a sin, many others believe it is biblical and does not affect a Christian’s faith. Based on this conflicting premise, this researcher decided to embark on a study in order to understand the what exactly the Bible teaches on polygamy especially what the new testament says. The methodology that consider apt for this study is the historical and analytics, one which enables the researcher to have a survey of the biblical perspective of polygamy .Secondary and primary date here sourced for this research and one of the findings amongst others showed that the new testament does not encourage polygamy and that Christian women or wives suffer a lot of dehumanizing challenges in polygamous homes .However, it was recommended amongst others that Christians should shun polygamy and remain faithful to their wife no matter the nature of challenges they face in the marriage.
